Mary Herrin

Mary Burleson Herrin, 84 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at her home.
Ms. Herrin was born October 22, 1931 in Stanly County to the late Ira Benjamin Burleson and the late Ethel Ellen Burleson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clyde Herrin, a son, Ray Herrin, two infant daughters, brothers Ira Lee Burleson, Arthur Burleson, Melvin Burleson, Reece Burleson, and sisters Mae Hatley and Ruth Seals.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 17236 Frog Pond Road in Oakboro officiated by Dr. Wayne Bennett. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Morgan and husband Paul, granddaughter, Shelby Beal and husband Rick, great grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan and Cody Beal, daughter-in-law, Patty Herrin, brothers, James Burleson, and Claude Burleson and sisters, Margaret Aldridge and Shirley Giles, numerous nieces and nephews, and her special pet, Radar.
