Mary Edith Hartsell Morrison

Mary Edith Hartsell Morrison, 94, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family .

Mary was born March 20, 1931 in North Carolina to the late Fred Williamson Hartsell and the late Martha Livingston Hartsell.

She was also preceded in death by husband of 45 years Oren Caldwell Morrison; brothers, Edward T. Hartsell and Fred W. Hartsell, Jr.

Mary loved spending time with family, laughing and enjoying life. Mary was a avid loving member of Big Lick Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 12:30pm -1:15pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Big Lick Baptist Church in Oakboro. The funeral service will Follow at 1:30pm, officiated by Rev. Jeff Springer. Burial will be held at the Oakboro Cemetery, 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.

Survivors include daughter, Melinda (Paul) Graham of Oakboro, NC; son, Oren Matthew (Angie) Morrison of Albemarle, NC; grandchildren, Ryan Morrison, Caleb Morrison, Christopher Alnazer, and Dylan (Brenda) Alnazer.
