Mary Geneva "Pat" Roberts Upton Cooper, age 79, of 402 West 35th Street Lumberton, N.C., died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. Mrs. Cooper was employed as Office Manager for Advancement Incorporated-Lumberton and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lumberton. Mrs. Cooper managed a women's clothing store in Lumberton called Virginia Crabtree.. . Born May 5, 1930 in Cabarrus County she was the daughter of the late Andrew Leonard Roberts and the late Nena Mae (Alexander) Roberts. She is survived by her husband Benjamin Graham Cooper; of Lumberton, NC Son-Charles "Andy" Upton of Asheboro, NC Son-Gerald Eric Upton & wife Patricia of Durham, NC Sister-Marie (Roberts) Edminston of Kannapolis, NC Granddaughters-Sarah Katherine Upton & Laura Elaine Upton both of Durham, NC Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2009. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel - Concord at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 20, 2009 . Interment will be at Rocky River Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Concord, N.C.
