Mary Elaine Carriker, 70, of Monroe, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.
Elaine was born January 8, 1954, in North Carolina to the late Billy Joe Page and Mary Fredine Simpson Page.
She was also preceded in death by sisters Jo Nell Page, Carol Page Polston.
Elaine was a caring mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She worked for Lowe's Home Improvement until her retirement in 2019. Elaine attended Shiloh Advent Christian Church from childhood.
The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be at 2pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Shiloh Advent Christian Church in Monroe officiated by Rev. Travis Hutcheson. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Advent Christian Church Cemetery at 3601 Sikes Mill Rd., Monroe.
Survivors include husband of 20 years, Buren Carriker of Monroe; son Dennis Elkins (Cesz) of Monroe; daughter, Amanda Hartis (Scott) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Baylee Hartis of Mint Hill, Olivia Hartis of Mint Hill, Colby Hartis of Mint Hill and Elijah Elkins of Monroe; stepchildren, Denise Staton (Kelly) of Myrtle Beach, Toni Jones (Kelly) of Myrtle Beach, and Chad Carriker of Marshville, nine step grandchildren, and nine step great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be shared to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110.
