Martha Cook Lunsford

Martha Cook Lunsford, 75, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at her home.

Martha was born February 13, 1950, in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Douglas Calton Cook and the late Pauline Burris Cook.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles Curtis Lunsford, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 11:45 am, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Prospect Baptist Church, located at 502 Prospect Church Road, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm officiated by Rev. Stoney Benfield. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.

Survivors include son, Kenneth Darrell (Lisa) Lunsford; daughter, Christine Renee (Jamie) Hatley; grandchildren, Tyler (Shelby) Hatley, Hunter (Hannah) Lunsford, Greyson (Hannah) Lunsford, Lindsey (Robbie) Craig, and McKenna (Corey) Harwood; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Charlie, Crew, Ola, Lakelynne, Charlotte, Cash, and one baby girl on the way.
