Martha was born November 14, 1922, in Stanly County to the late Johncie Edward Kiker and the late Mary Magdelene Tucker Kiker. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Everette Wildren Hinson; son, Wesley Bryan Hinson; and 10 siblings.
Martha was a lifelong member of Antioch Baptist Church, Monroe. She enjoyed baking cakes and pies for church gatherings and other fundraisers. Martha loved the outdoors, where she would garden, can and tend to her yard and flowers. Most of all, she was a loving mother and Maw Maw.
Survivors include son, Tommy (Rhonda) Hinson of Monroe; daughter, Manie Hinson of Monroe; daughter, Annette (Randy) Greene of Mint Hill; 5 grandchildren, Stephanie (Greg) Byrum, Amy (Clint) Medlin, Lisa (Lemuel) Greene, Kara (Chris) Furr, and Landon (Lauren) Greene; 15 great-grandchildren, Jared, Walker, Will, Sarah, Savannah, Elijah, Logan, Lawson, Lincoln, Colton, Myles, Mason, Lily, Waylon, and Olivia.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Monday, June 3, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church, officiated by Rev. Joseph Query. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
