Marie Barbee Eudy

Marie Barbee Eudy, 91, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle.

Marie was born September 21, 1934 in North Carolina to the late Jonah Phillip Barbee and the late Dora Austin Barbee. She was also preceded in death by husband, Ralph Homer Eudy, sisters, Ruth Almond, Clara Coley, and Janet Almond.

Marie enjoyed cooking Sunday lunch for her family. She had a passion for playing the piano starting at the age of 12. Marie served as piano player at Lakeview Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She also served as activity director at Bethany Woods for many years. Marie loved everyone and was loved by many.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Lakeview Baptist Church-Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Lakeview Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Trent Drye. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Survivors include daughter, Debbie Doby (Bobby),son, Terry Eudy, son, Ronnie Eudy(Joyce), daughter, Susan Austin(Randy), son, Greg Eudy (Leslie), daughter/sister-in-law, Doris Eudy (Jerry C), grandchildren; Cindy Hoffman, Chip Eudy, Grieg Eudy, Jill Eudy, Andrea Russell, Erin Atwood, Neal Eudy, Charlie Austin, Phillip Eudy, Kristopher Austin, Brooke Cannon, Lindsey Garner, and Lane Eudy, Bradley Eudy and Ryan Eudy, 18 great grandchildren and great-great grand child, sister, Martha Eudy, brother, Kenneth Barbee.

In lieu of flowers memorials maybe shared to The Ralph and Marie Eudy scholarship fund at Lakeview Baptist Church.
