Margie Wilhoit Doby, age 93, passed away November 15th, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Doby and her parents Katherine Wilhoit Rorie and Claude Wilhoit.
She was also preceded in death by siblings Annabel Cranford, Furman Wilhoit, John Wilhoit, Paul Wilhoit, Ray Wilhoit, Reggie Wilhoit, Roy Wilhoit, and Barbara Poplin.
Margie is survived by her son Bob Doby and daughter in law Debbie, her granddaughters Erin (Shane) Atwood, and Brooke(Dustin) Cannon, and great grandchildren, Arlo and Lucy Cannon.
Margie had many nieces and nephews, but a very special thank you to Tom and Cindy Wilhoit, Gary and Debra Wilhoit, Linda Wilhoit, and Frank and Shirley Vick for going above and beyond for her care and companionship for the past several years. Margie worked many years at Wiscassett Mills, but will be fondly remembered for her passion to take care of others with visits, meals, and her famous cakes! She will be missed by all who loved her.
A graveside service will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 E Main Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
