Margaret Jarrett

The children of Margaret Guerry Jarrett of Charlotte are saddened to announce her passing on November 3, 2022 at the age of 89 years. She was born November 19, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, NY to her loving parents James and Margaret Kennedy. Margaret, known as Guerry, attended New Rochelle High School and Virginia Intermont College before becoming an Executive Secretary.

Guerry loved to travel and documented her many European trips for loved ones to enjoy.  She was an avid reader, anglophile and history buff.  She was a dog lover and had two black labs in her life, both named Raven.

For many years, Guerry worked as an Executive Secretary for the Chairman of the Board of Consolidation Coal Company in Pittsburgh.  She moved to the Washington, DC area in 1976 and worked for several Regulatory Affairs offices of major corporations.  Guerry always took much pride in her work and her reputation for loyalty and dependability.  Guerry retired to Charlotte North Carolina in 2007.

Guerry was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Kennedy, and her former husband, Baldwin Matthew Jarrett.

Guerry is survived by her sister, Heather Stephanoff, and her three children and their families; Ava, Leslye (Jeffrey), Matt, and Heather (Jay) as well as grandchildren (Megan, Jared, Zachary, Ava and Sarah), and 3 great grandchildren (Jordan, Mason and Paul).

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
