Margaret Almond Hathcock

Margaret Almond Hathcock, 86, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital.

Margaret was born September 3, 1938 in North Carolina to the late Carlie J. Almond and the late Sarah Frances Barbee Almond. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Almond and Buddy Almond.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle. The funeral service will follow on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at Prospect Baptist Church in Albemarle officiated by Pastor Stoney Benfield and Pastor Ray Johnson.

Survivors include husband, Thomas Blane Hathcock of the home; son, Tony Hathcock (Lisa) of Oakboro, NC; grandchildren, Matthew Hathcock (Emily) of Oakboro, NC and Denea Harwood (Joe) of Locust, NC; step-grandchildren; Alyssa Munyer (Daniel) of Concord, NC, Amber Harkey of Oakboro, NC, and Alex Harkey (Ali) of Midland, NC and 7 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Jimmy Almond, Elaine Barrier (Hoyle), Jane Creed, Larry Almond, and Nancy Childers (Tommy).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prospect Baptist Church.
