Margaret Griggs

Margaret Estelle Griggs, 87, of Concord, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012, at Carolinas Medical Center - NE. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Sunday, January 22, 2012, from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Brad Jones, will be held at Carolina Memorial Park at 4:00 p.m. At other times the family will meet at the home of her son, Joe Griggs; 937 Red Fox Lane, Concord, NC. Mrs. Griggs was born on June 26, 1924, to the late Lola Paterson Warner and the late Clara Elizabeth Jordan Warner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Frank Griggs, Sr. and a grandchild, Michael Griggs. She is survived by four sons, Joe Griggs, Jr. and wife, Sylvia, Jim Griggs and wife, Anne, Robert Griggs and wife, Karen and Thomas Griggs all of Concord; and four grandchildren, Tim, Lizzie,Ali and Mackenzie. Memorials may be made to Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, 25 Highway 49 S, Concord, NC 28025. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Griggs family.
