Marcy Lynn Putnam, 51, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

She was born January 20th, 1973, to the late Wilmont and Roberta Smith in Manchester, CT and later made her home in Concord, NC with her husband Gary.

They were married on November 27th , 1999, but were lifelong friends as Marcy was best friends with his sister Virginia, going up.

Although they never had children, they were passionate about their fur babies. Their dogs Leigha, Cora, Samantha Lynn, and Boomer along with their cats Simon, Sweet Pea, and Peanut Shell, proceeded Marcy in passing.

This past February Marcy ended her lifelong career in retail, working for the last 28 years for Its Fashion where she was a district manager.

She loved the beach and laying out in the sun and always looked forward to her trips to Daytona and St. Augustine with her close friends Lorry, Michelle, Allegra, her niece Kaitlyn, and of course her husband too.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Chris Smith, Wilmot Smith Jr, Kathy Mulock, and here beloved sister Angala Carney.

She is survived by her husband Gary, two brothers Scott Smith, Joe Smith, and many nieces and nephews including Mark Carney (Katie) and Amanda Venti (Joe). Also, mother and father-in-law Sandra Spencer, Walt Putnam (Gypsy), sister-in-law Virgina Washington (David) and their children Codey, Corrina, and Kristen along close family friends Don and Michelle Tarantino and their children Steven, Nicolas and Kaitlyn.

Services will be private at this time for immediate family.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the ASPCA and the Humane Society of Charlotte.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Putnam family.
