Lynn Edward Isenhour, 73 years of age, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at his home, under the care of hospice.
Lynn was born September 12, 1941 in Concord to the late Annie-Bell Cooke Isenhour and Hoy Edward Isenhour of Concord . He was also preceded in death by his first wife Laura Kepley Isenhour.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 7:00pm on Thursday, officiated by Rev. Scott Comer.
Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Lynette Isenhour of Mt Pleasant, NC, Brandi (John) Grissom of Kannapolis, NC; son, Lynn Edward Isenhour, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, NC; grandchildren include, Justin Peeler, Danielle Kandler, Andrew Grissom, Adam Grissom, Alex Grissom, Railyn Isenhour and Hannah Lambert; Lynn's companion of twenty years, Katherine Earlene Shaver Seamone; brother and sisters include, Shirley Isenhour Huneycutt of Locust, NC, James Lee Isenhour (Joyce) of Concord, NC and Barbara Isenhour Crayton of Locust, NC; second wife, Marian Decker.
Lynn retired from Charlotte Motor Speedway. He worked 40 years as a brick mason in the construction industry. He was the Owner of Lynnville Sandblasting. Lynn was known as "skin-daddy" for his famous fish fries and salmon stew he shared with so many. Lynn was a member of Center United Methodist Church.
