Lynn Blue

Lynn  Blue, 56, of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle.

Lynn was born July 23, 1966 in North Carolina to Winford Blue and the late Sallie Bullard.
He was also preceded in death by sisters, Betty Thea Locklear and Barbara Holmes; and brother, Herman Blue

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm, Monday, December 19, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park in Albemarle.

Lynn was a wonderful husband to his wife, Iris.  He enjoyed camping and going to the beach.  He also greatly cared for his three dogs, Rufus, Sparky and Rascal.  But Lynn Especially loved his nieces and nephews.  Near the end, Lynn battled courageously against stage 4 cancer which he had been struggling with for seven years.

Survivors include wife, Iris Ann Blue of Albemarle, NC; father, Winford Blue of Wagram, NC; brother, Jimmy (Mickey) Blue of Raeford, NC, sister, Rosie Justice of Wagram, NC;  and sister, Emma Jane Hatley of Wagram, NC.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute for their dedication and services.
