Lynda Medlin

Lynda Kay Medlin, 70, of Midland, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023 at home.

Lynda was born January 29, 1952 in North Carolina to the late Melvin Lee Medlin and the late Hazel Lene Medlin.
She was also preceded in death by grandson, Dalton Tarlton; brother, Terry Lee Medlin; and niece, Crystal.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland.  The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3 pm, officiated by Rev. Mike Lisk.

Lynda was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family with all her heart.  She adored cats and enjoyed spending time in her flower garden.  Lynda particularly enjoyed reading romance books and watching Gone with the Wind.  Lynda was known for sending crazy texts to her family who enjoyed trying to decipher her messages.  Some of her favorite pastimes were spent cooking, sewing, quilting and fishing with her boys.  Lynda was a wonderful woman that will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include sons, Alan Tarlton, Michael Tarlton, Rodger Tarlton, Brady Tarlton, Jerry Harward Jr.; daughter, Lindy Fortenberry;  grandchildren, Tiffany, A.J., Josh, Breanna, Sierra, River, Shana, Samuel, Caleb, Aaron, Alyssa, Daylan, and Kayden; great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Kaelynn, Hayden, Ora-Mae, Amelia, Everly-Rose, and Weston; and sister-in-law, Judy Medlin.
