Lonnie Graham Eaves, Jr

Lonnie Graham Eaves, Jr. (LG), 94, of Concord NC, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 12, 2026.

Born on November 9, 1931 in Marshall, Texas, LG was the son of May Agnes Eaves and Lonnie Graham Eaves. During his formative years, he grew up in Marshall Texas, graduating from Marshall High School in 1950; from East Texas Baptist College in 1960, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1967.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Corbin Eaves of 44 years. They were married on January 9, 1982 in Longview, TX and moved to Concord, NC in 1986 to care for Jane’s aged parents.

He is also survived by his son, James Stephen Eaves (Kathy), his grandsons Colin Eaves and Stuart Eaves (Beth), great-grandson Declan Eaves; daughter Diane Neal (Tom), grandsons, Anthony Campise (deceased) and Michael Campise (Laura), great-granddaughter Ellesandra Campise; step-children Jim Lawson (Deb), Joan Gosen (Rich), Jeff Lawson (Kathy), John Lawson (Theresa), 15 step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Calvin Thomas Eaves and sister Norma Fay Fritz.

A visitation service will be held at 11:00 am, memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, NC on May 16, 2026. Interment will be on a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, Concord, NC.
