Lois Burleson

Lois Ann Johnson Burleson, 88, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her home in Albemarle.

Lois was born May 9, 1934 in North Carolina to the late Lester Eugene Johnson and the late Sarah Violet Johnson.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Retha Lewis Burleson, and siblings, Della Spears, Doris Johnson, Eugene Johnson, Joe Johnson, Charles Johnson, June Johnson, and Harold Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The graveside service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery at 24615 Endy Rd, Albemarle.

Survivors include children, Denise Luther of Norwood, NC, Cheryl (Alan) Beaver of Albemarle, NC, and Randy Lee (Terri) Burleson of Waxhaw, NC; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandsons.

Lois was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and gardener but she especially enjoyed taking care of grandchildren and being a farmer's wife. She was a seamstress and enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting. She also worked in textiles and retail. She attended Canton Baptist Church and the Albemarle Seventh Day Adventist Church.
