Linda Wilson McCoy

Linda McCoy, 84, went to be home with her Lord and Savoir Friday, September 5, 2025, at her home in Concord.

Linda was born July 6, 1941, to the late Arthur Burl Wilson and the late Ruth Edna Wilson. She was also preceded in death by brother, Arthur Ray (Bodie) Wilson and son in law Jeffrey Brian Davidson.

She is survived by husband Ronald Lee McCoy, daughter’s Tammy Davidson Burton (Scott) and Ann M Fulbright (Ronnie), granddaughter Megan Davidson Stephens (Jeremy), great-granddaughter's Belle Rose Stephens and Autumn Kinsley Stephens.

She retired from Cannon Mills after 30 years of service. She then spent several years loving on little ones at Forrest Hills United Methodist Preschool. Her most precious little ones were her granddaughter and great-granddaughter's. They brought her so much joy. Her husband Ronald was the love of her life. They had been married for 60 years and would have celebrated 61 years on the 18th of September. Their love was truly an inspiration to us all. Throughout her life she enjoyed cooking/baking, Sunday meals were always a family specialty after church, where she always had a fresh baked cake. Amongst her other hobbies her most favorite was cross-stitching. She made many beautiful pieces, but her most beloved one was a Jesus bookmark that she kept many of in her purse and would hand out to any stranger she met. She severed her Lord faithfully by playing the piano for over 50 years at Coldwater Baptist Church. She loved her immediate, extended and church family beyond compare. She will be deeply missed but will live on in our hearts forever.

The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to Hospice of Cabarrus County for their continuous compassionate care. To her many nurses and CNA, Beverly we will never forget all you did.

Memorials may be made to Coldwater Baptist Church or Hospice of Cabarrus County.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, September 8, 2025, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Coldwater Baptist Church in Concord officiated by Pastor James Posey. Burial will follow at the Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery at 1045 Union St. S, Concord.
