Lillian Welty

Lillian Beatrice Roberts Welty, 97 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Morningside Assisted Living. Lillian was born March 6, 1916 in Eugene, Missouri to the late James Conway Roberts and the late Flora Zobeda Frazier Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Cadwallader; second husband, Miles Welty; and brother, Wert Roberts. The burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, Colorado. She is survived by her daughters, Doris Simmons and husband Glenn of Concord; Sharon Matthew and husband Robert of Parker, CO; Grandchildren, Craig Matthew, Eric Matthew, Lisa Long, Kelli Robertson, and Scott Sorensen and wife Pam of Concord; and sisters, Ruby Totten and Norma Conroe. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the family.
