Lewis Floyd

Lewis Milton Floyd, 78 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Carillon Assisted Living in Monroe.
Lewis was born August 21, 1936 in Mecklenburg County to the late Hubert M. and Mildred Cowan Floyd.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Pope Floyd and a brother, Manning Floyd .
A private family memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland.
Survivors include daughters, Kim (Dennis) Hathcock of Stanfield and Sherry (David) McWhirter of Locust; five grandchildren, Amber Hatley, Brittney Rhodes, Courtney Hatley, Blake Snider and Gina Strickland; seven great-grandchildren Zoee Hatley, Grayden Hatley, Tulah Hatley, Averie Hatley, Kannon Rhodes, Aniston Rhodes and Olive Strickland.
Lewis was a member of Union Masonic Lodge #618 of Midland, Locust Lions Club and also, Bassmasters.
