Leila Morgan
August 25, 1931 — July 15, 2014
Leila Morgan, 82 years of age, of Huntersville, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.
Mrs. Morgan was born August 25, 1931 in St. Michaels, Barbados to the late Kenrick Cumberbatch and the late Florence Eleta Cumberbatch .
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Austin Morgan and a brother Arthur Cumberbatch.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 19, 2014, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Elder Floyd Long.
Survivors include son, Paul Morgan and wife Bonita; daughters, Leonora Slade, Claire Rutledge and husband Les, Lorraine Morgan; granddaughters, Shariyfa Montgomery, Kita Morgan, Samantha Slade, Maya Morgan, Ayanna Morgan; grandsons, Tyrone Slade and wife Rebecca, Dumile Morgan and wife Claudia, Jonathan Morgan and wife Jeanique Allamani-Morgan; great grandsons Dominick Morgan, Lincoln and Mason Slade; great grandaughter Morgan Slade; two sisters, Carmen Cumberbatch, Audrey Thomas and husband Tom. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
