LaDrina Myaja Douglas

Feb 25, 2004 — Jun 27, 2026

LaDrina Myaja Douglas, affectionately known as Drina, 22, has left a lasting imprint on the lives of everyone who has been blessed to have met her. While her physical presence with us ended on June 27, 2026, her eternal presence and legacy will continue to touch every person.

Born on February 25, 2004 to her loving mother, Adriane Parramore and father, Ladon Douglas in Tennessee, LaDrina entered the world as a soul sent by God to warm the hearts of all she encountered. Adriane’s love for the Lord and determination to bring LaDrina up in a faith-filled home led to LaDrina’s dedication back to the Lord at an early age. Her faith in and love for God was present in her love for her family and community.

From a young age, LaDrina’s warmth and intellect became readily apparent. Inherited from her parents, strangers were greeted with LaDrina’s warm and bright smile. Her quiet and calm demeanor could be felt whenever she was present. In school, LaDrina thrived in the arts and creativity, often immersing herself in the enchanting world of books. Her love for reading was immense, expanding from fantasy to science fiction to romance to comedy and more. Her teachers frequently commented on LaDrina’s enormous vocabulary and creativity at resolving issues, often a direct result from the love and passion that she had with the literary world. It should come as no surprise that LaDrina’s favorite color is purple, representing royalty, spirituality and creativity.

LaDrina’s intellectual capabilities did not go unnoticed as she was recognized throughout her educational career with countless well-deserved accolades as LaDrina’s daily activities reflected her love for learning, culminating with her graduation in 2022 from Central Cabarrus High School. She continued her educational journey by enrolling at Wake Technical Community College with a focus on computer data information systems while also fulfilling her love of the community as a behavioral technician at the Centria Autism/Life Skills Autism Academy.

LaDrina’s upbringing included the unique opportunity of enjoying a diverse set of communities surrounded with family. Always happy to travel, LaDrina enjoyed her frequent summer and vacation visits to her father’s home in Alabama where she was able to expand her reach by touching the lives of her Alabama family, including her siblings, cousins and grandparents. She loved her visits so much that she continued the tradition throughout her adulthood. Through her visits, LaDrina, her dad and her family created unforgettable memories that will forever be cherished.

LaDrina’s sphere of influence expanded further when she was blessed with the gift of a bonus father and family in 2014. Caldwell Blanks, Jr. entered LaDrina’s life when she was 10 and became a daily resource of love and protection for LaDrina. Through his union with Adriane, LaDrina was able to touch the life of her new bonus sister, Erica, as well as the rest of Caldwell’s family. LaDrina’s traveling destinations expanded to various locations such as Disneyworld, Seattle, Canada, and countless beach locations. From participating in family cookouts, birthday parties, pool parties and charity events, to playing board games, card games and video games, LaDrina’s inclusion and impact on the family was instantaneous and eternal.

LaDrina’s legacy will live on through every single person she met. She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother Vernell O’Neal, great-grandmother Mary Stokes, grandmother Moné O’Neal, grandmother Sophia Massey and her brother Cordel Battle. Remaining behind to carry on her legacy are LaDrina’s parents LaDon (Tarria) Douglas of Huntsville, AL and Adriane (Caldwell) Blanks of Concord, NC; her brother Jaquelon Douglas; her sisters Zamori Douglas, Jamaya Douglas and Zakyrah Douglas; her bonus sister Erica Blanks, her special sister Ariahna Battle, fur baby Smokey, and a host of loving grandparents, grand-aunts, grand-uncles, aunts, uncles, a niece, a nephew, cousins and friends.

Every smile, hug, and moment shared with LaDrina will remain an eternal blessing from God that will be remembered forever.
