Kirk Matthew Rowand, 75, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Kirk was born December 6, 1950, in Spokane, Washington, to the late David and Aileen Rowand.

Survivors include beloved wife of 37 years, Laural; children, Wayne, Bobby, Jessi (Ron), Aaron (Gina) and Mike; four grandchildren, Ben, Maddy, Brayden, and Matthew.

Kirk Rowand was a wonderful man whose quiet strength, intelligence, and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him. A proud Marine Corps veteran, he carried the heart of a warrior with a calm and thoughtful spirit. Kirk had a deep love for books and role-playing, finding joy in imagination and storytelling, and he approached life with remarkable patience and a good sense of humor. He was someone you could always count on—dependable, kind, and steadfast. To Laural and her boys, he was not only family but a true hero, a man who changed their lives in profound ways. Above all, Kirk was a loving husband, devoted dad, and proud grandpa who will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
