Katie Rebecca Johnson

   Katie Rebecca Johnson, of Charlotte, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at her residence.

  Mrs. Johnson was born on October 12, 1940, in Hinds County, Mississippi, to the late Willie E. Davis and the late Ruth Brown Davis. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Johnson.

  Mrs. Johnson enjoyed a life filled with simple pleasures. Her hobbies included playing the piano, crocheting, sewing, and traveling, all of which brought her great joy and allowed her to share her talents with those she loved.

  The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel, officiated by Dr. Cleveland Huntley.

  She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Camilla Annette Wilson of Charlotte, NC; her granddaughter, Kaylynn Wilson; and her grandsons, Lamont Wilson, Jr. and Julian Wilson. She is also survived by her siblings, listed from oldest to youngest: Carrie Willie Dent, the late Hattie Greenfield, Ruby Cobb, Calvin Davis, Bessie Ruth Wilson, and Charles E. Davis, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
