Katherine Talbert

Katherine Almond Talbert, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at her sister's residence, at the age of 77. Katherine was born January 25, 1937 in Stanly County to the late John Worth Almond and the late Nora Burleson Almond. She was also preceded in death by sister, Lynn Almond Smith. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Pine Grove Methodist Church in Albemarle. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jay Belk, will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the church sanctuary. She is survived by her sons; John Talbert of Albemarle and Stuart Talbert of Durham; sister, Nancy Burleson and husband, Glen of Albemarle; brother, Larry Almond and wife, Don, of Waxhaw; grandsons, Matthew Ryan, Jared Alan, John Worth and Graham Ashe Talbert; nieces and nephews, Susan, Lisa, Anne, Doug, and Brian. Memorials may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 28774 NC Hwy 24/27, Albemarle, NC 28001 or to Community Hospice of Troy, 120 North Main Street, Troy, NC 27371.
