Karen Renee Whitley

Karen Renee Whitley, 65, of Albemarle, passed away May 25, 2026, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

She was born to the late Betty Joan Sikes and the late James Carroll Whitley.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Sommer, and granddaughters, Taylor and Whitley; niece, Alexa; nephew, Alex; and a close family friend, Jeff.

Karen had many careers throughout her life, but her favorite role was being a grandmother. She was the best mama, grandma, and friend anyone could ask for. Karen loved animals, traveling, quiet time, and spending time with her family.

Karen had a heart unlike any other. She was always helping others and always made sure everyone around her was okay. She loved deeply and unconditionally, more than anyone who knew her had ever experienced. Her kindness, strength, and love touched countless lives, and her family finds comfort knowing she will continue watching over them as a guardian angel.

At the request of Ms. Whitley, there will be no services.

The family would like to thank Tucker Hospice House for the love, care, and support given to Ms. Whitley.
