Judy Kennedy

Judy Irene Kennedy, age 67 of Concord, formerly of Oakboro, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Universal Healthcare. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Monday, August 27 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 4693 NC 205 Hwy, Oakboro, NC, on Tuesday, August 28, at 2:00 PM, with a 30 minute state, officiated by Rev. Phillip Smith and Rev. Rod Denny. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ms. Kennedy was born in Stanly County on July 3, 1945, to the late Clyde Dee Kennedy and the late Carrie Jones Kennedy. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Diane K. Austin. She is survived by one son, Edward Leon “Lee” Kennedy and his wife Luann of Cary; two grandchildren, Kristen and Connor Kennedy; two sisters, Lee Kennedy of Mocksville and Abigail Danner Huckabee of Charlotte.
