Joyce Barbee

Joyce  Barbee, 87, of Locust, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022 at Trinity Place in Albemarle.

Mrs. Barbee was born March 16, 1935 in Union County, North Carolina to Judge Loyd Tomberlin and the late Delilah Rosella Tomberlin.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Hood Barbee.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Carolina Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Cory Colvary and Rev. Patrick Womack. Burial will be at the Carolina Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 406 Renee Ford Road, Locust.

Survivors include brother, Lewis "Bo" Tomberlin; sons, Larry "Poncho" (Nancy) Barbee of Locust and Tony (Shana Helms) Barbee of Stanfield; grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Barbee of Locust, Cameron Barbee of Oakboro and Lauren (Ryan) Simmons of Mint Hill; great-grandchildren, Kallie Barbee and Kacee Barbee.

Memorials may be made to Carolina Presbyterian Church (Music Ministry) in Locust or West Stanly Christian Ministries in Stanfield.
