Joseph Myers

Joseph Wayne Myers, 38, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in Salisbury, NC.

Mr. Myers was born January 24, 1985 in Salisbury, North Carolina to John Wayne Myers, Jr. and Donna Birch.

Joseph had a passion for animals, creative building, never wearing a shirt, and telling stories of his past. Joseph spent a lot of time fishing with is brother Jeremy in recent years. He enjoyed sharing a bond with his daughter doing arts and crafts. He enjoyed collecting unique animals and frogs with his son. Joseph and his wife Sierra had a passion for horticulture and landscaping, and spent hours finding tranquility doing this together.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Sierra of Salisbury, NC and their children, Clayton Myers (son), Kirsten Nevaeh Myers (daughter);  mother, Donna (Jim) Birch of Columbia, SC; father, John Wayne Myers, Jr. of Salisbury, NC; brother, Jeremy Myers; brother, Timmy Howard of West Virginia; step-siblings, Halie and Scott of Winston Salem; his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Howard; and niece and nephews.

Joseph was preceded in death by his maternal Grandfather, Joseph Ellenburg; maternal Grandmother, Rebecca Ellenburg; paternal Grandfather, John Wayne Myers, Sr.; paternal Grandmother, Carol Myers; Uncle Tapio Latva; and nephew; J.J. Myers.

Memorials may be made in Joseph's name to the Rowan County Animal Shelter
