Joseph Canon

Joseph Lee Von Canon, age 77, of 16908 Cabarrus Rd, Midland, N.C., died Friday, July 3, 2009, at his home. Mr. Von Canon was employed by Overnight Transportation, Charlotte and was a member of New Life Baptist Church, Charlotte. The family will meet at his home. He served in the Navy. He was the son of the late Gordon Von Canon and the late Evelyn (Patterson) Von Canon. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Chelsea Ray Von Cannon. He is survived by his wife Ruth (Land) Von Canon of Midland, NC Stepson-Wayne Wells of Charlotte, N.C. Stepdaughter-Donna Thomas of Midland, N.C. Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Sunday, July 5, 2009. Funeral service will be at Sunset Memory Gardens Charlotte at 11:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2009 , Rev. Marvin Tyson Rev. Eddie Grigg officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte, N.C.
