John Vanderburg

John Franklin Vanderburg, 65, of Concord, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022.

He was born August 2, 1957 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late John Nathan Vanderburg and the late Mae Alex Vanderburg.

John graduated from Mt. Pleasant High school and attended N.C. State University. He worked most of his life in the trucking industry and then pursued farming. He enjoyed nature, genealogy and photography- posting his daily experiences as a farmer on facebook. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord in Concord officiated by Rev. Tony Allen

He is survived by a sister, Doris V. Williams of Kannapolis, NC and niece Meredith Williams (husband Anthony Wyatt); great nephew, Damien Williams-Wyatt of Dayton, OH as well as numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by death by a sister- Ellen Vanderburg who passed in 2020.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CVAN (Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network), Humane Society of Concord & Greater Cabarrus County, or Center United Methodist Church in Concord, NC.
