John Efird

John Mack "Johnny " Efird, 76, of Kernersville, NC, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Kernersville Medical Center in Kernersville, NC. Mr. Efird was born July 13, 1936 in Stanly County to the late Edward Ray Efird and Grace Sells Efird . The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle, NC. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Aaron Adkins, will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 11:00 am following visitation, in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Martin Lutheran Church Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Stanly County DAV Chapter 12. Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Mary Hannan Efird of Kernersville; two daughters, Leslie Rolita of Fredericksburg, VA and Karen Breitenmoser-Efird of Zurich, Switzerland; a sister, Joyce Westbrook of Fayetteville, GA; and seven grandchildren. Flowers accepted or in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Efird family.
