Jimmy Rivers

Jimmy Lee Rivers, 61, of Concord, NC, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022.

Jimmy was born July 10, 1960 in Chesterfield, SC, to the late Johnny Junior Rivers and Lottie Mae Ratliff Rivers.  In addition to his father, Jimmy was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Lee Rivers.

Jimmy was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to so many.  He always had a smile on his face and brought out the best in everyone.  Jimmy had a passion for sports and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  He never missed a game or opportunity to talk about the Dallas Cowboys.  Jimmy took pride in being present for his children’s events.  He was always front and center to cheer them on, whether it be a sporting event, musical or important life milestone.  Jimmy will be greatly missed and forever loved by many.

Survivors include his wife, Erika Beuscher Rivers; son, Jimmy Jerrod Rivers; son, Michael Jermaine (Cassandra) Rivers; son, Christopher Chandler Rivers; daughter, Jaylyn Larissa Rivers; mother, Lottie Mae Rivers; brother, Kimbert (Frances) Johnson; brother, Dan (Kathy) Rivers; sister, Lottie Robinson; sister, Patricia (Curtis) Hubbard; brother, Stephen (Lavonna) Rivers; sister, Sylvia (Greg) White; brother, Lavon (Keotte) Rivers; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service in celebration of Jimmy's life will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Arlen Ratliff.
