Jessica "Genia" Efird

Jessica "Genia" Eugenia Efird, 61, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 at her home.

Genia was born August 4, 1961 in Shelby, North Carolina to the late Ralph Preston Rice and the late Patricia Amanda Cook.
She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Freedom Briann Dixon.

Genia was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother. Family was a priority for her, and she loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world.

Survivors include daughter, Echo Nicole Griffin; grandson, Justice Griffin; granddaughter, Lybertie Griffin; sister, Susie Burton; brother, Jesse Burton; she is also survived by many friends who loved her.
