Jeannette Edwards

Jeannette Hathcock Edwards, 76 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Monday, February 22, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.
Jeannette was born October 12, 1939 in Stanly County to the late Vance Harrell Hathcock and the late Mildred Pauline Hathcock.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Haywood Edsel Edwards, in July 2015, and one daughter, Amy Boger, in 2016.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm, on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. A 30 minute state will be held prior to the funeral service which will be on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 11 am at Philadelphia Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dwight Mabry. Burial will follow at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery at 12568 Philadelphia Church Road, Stanfield.
Survivors include one son, Mark (Lisa) Edwards of Leland, NC; grandchildren, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Sarah, and Anna Edwards, and Chance and Claudia Boger; sisters, Joan Branch, Sue (Wade) Stogner, Joy (Junior) Harris, Rita (Joe) Lowder; nephews, Chris Stogner, Jason Stogner, and Jeff Branch.
