James Shaver, Sr

James Edward Shaver,Sr, 72 years of age, of Orangeburg, South Carolina passed away Friday, January 16, 2015.

Mr. Shaver was born August 31, 1942 in Concord, North Carolina to the late George Ed Shaver and the late Eva Love. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Clete, Willie, CJ. and Larry and sisters Sis and Doodle.

He was employed at Mack Trucks for sixteen years after which he was a service manager for Atlantic Mack in Wilmington, NC and Riser Chevrolet in Walterboro, SC.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel officiated by Rev. Steve Pennington . Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery in Concord.

Survivors include daughter, Eva Luanne Lawrence and husband Steve of Charlotte, NC, and son, James Edward Shaver, Jr. of Charlotte, granddaughter Amanda Miller and husband Benjamin of Fort Mill, SC, and great grandson Jacob Lawrence Miller also of Fort Mill,and long time companion and caregiver Georgia Hill of Elloree, SC.

Memorials may be made to Levine Children's Hospital of Charlotte.
