James Morton

James Barney Morton, 87, of Midland, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Morton was born October 29, 1932 in Union County to the late Rueben Morton and the late Desilee Pate Morton. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Lee Eudy Morton; son, Ronnie Lane Morton; granddaughter, Stephanie Morton; and grandsonn Daniel Wayne Morton.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Don Burleyson. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the West Lawn Memorial Park at 1350 South Main Street in China Grove.

Survivors include daughter, Peggy Jackson and husband Tommy of China Grove; sons, James Morton and wife Becky of Midland and Donnie Morton and wife Connie of Oakboro; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
