James Luther Lindler

James Luther Lindler, 86, of Midland passed Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Greens at Cabarrus in Concord, NC.

James was born May 19, 1939, in South Carolina to the late Lelia Ocknee Lindler and James Herman Lindler. James was also preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Fern Lindler, sister, Zelma Walker, and brother, Bruce Lindler.

They lived in Chapin, SC throughout his childhood and he graduated from Lower Richland High School where he played Football, Basketball, and ran Track. He was also the Student Body President.

Jim met his beautiful bride, Carolyn, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church in South Carolina, they were married for 64 years. Jim worked for 40 years for the trucking industry. He specialized in booking loads and finding truckers to move the freight; he could tell some wonderful stories. Jim loved to play golf with his buddies, spending time with his family, and traveling the world. If you ever met Jim, you would be captivated in the conversation he would share.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, March 29, 2026, 2:00 p.m., at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 4013 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, officiated by Pastor Rich Hogg.

Survivors include children, Lisa Estridge (David, Sr.), Amy Polson (Donald), James C. Lindler (Amy); sisters, Elizabeth Bland, Margaret Wise and Sarah Riser; brothers, Curtis Lindler and Gene Lindler; grandchildren, Emily Polson, Dj Estridge (Brittany), Wyatt Lindler, Christian Lindler (Mikayla), Kelsey Frampton (Chris); great-grandbabies, Jax Lindler, Jolee Lindler, Gabriel Lindler and Hayden Frampton.
