James Kennedy

James Calvin Kennedy, 82, of Concord, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Mr. Kennedy was born November 25, 1938 in Cabarrus County,North Carolina to the late William Bryan Kennedy and the late Beedie Catherine Kennedy.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Ann Matilda Kennedy, and brother William Ray Kennedy Sr.

Calvin was a graduate of Hartsell High School. He worked as a mechanical specialist in the textile industries of the Concord area, and retired from the Carolina Mall’s Mechanical maintenance Dept. after 19 years of service.

Survivors include daughter Angela (Allen) Godfrey, granddaughter Payton Marie Godfrey of Rome, GA; niece Kathy (Mark) Leibl of Clayton, NC , nephew William “Buddy” Ray (Lorie) Kennedy Jr. of Kannapolis, NC

Memorials may be made to Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
