James Hatley

James Bobby Hatley, Sr. age 79 of Albemarle, passed away on Saturday, September 08, 2012 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Anyone who would like to pay their respects, the family will be at his home. Mr. Hatley was born in Stanly County on August 11, 1933 to the late James Price Hatley and the late Lois Wilkinson Hatley. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sibley Manus Hatley of the home; one daughter, Lisa H. Barbee; one son, James B. “Chip” Hatley, Jr. and his wife Lisa; two brothers, Jerry Hatley of FL and Bill Hatley of GA; five grandchildren, Shelli Barbee, Lance Barbee and fiancé Bray Holbrook, Garret Hatley, Logan Hatley and Emma Hatley; one great-grandchild, Kannon Tucker. Mr. Hatley was a manager for Firestone for 45 years and had also worked as a U-Haul dealer. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Hatley family.
