Irene Vanderbeck

Irene Eva Vanderbeck, 77, of Concord North Carolina, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

Irene was born May 4, 1949 in Callicoon, New York to the late Clarence Roesner and the late Eva Tremper Roesner. Irene grew up on Long Island in West Islip and was the second of six children.

She was preceded in death by her sister Donna Walto and her brother John Roesner.Irene is survived by her daugter Michelle Johnson (husband, Gerard), grandson Dylan, son Timothy, sisters Ginny, Dawn (Skip) and June, Niece Jessica, nephews Ryan, Robert, and Christopher, along with many friends and extended family.

Irene enjoyed reading Danielle Steel books, Grey's Anatomy, Dancing with the Star, and Hallmark movies. Thursdays were spent with her daughter going to the library, Habitat Restore and other fun places. She will be missed dearly.
