Biography Ila Mae Hammonds Furr, 64 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014 at her home.
Ila was born January 13, 1950 in Whiteville, NC to the late Arthur William Hammonds and the late Gladys Soles Hammonds. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Furr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday, November 10, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jerry Ingle, will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday at Providence Church of God, 12474 NC Hwy 24/27 in Locust. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. At other times the family will be gathering at the home.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Lester Furr of the home; children, Shannon Horn and wife Heather, Chad Horn and wife Kara, and Chasity Furr; grandchildren, Jaden Horn, Jacob Horn, Caroline Horn, Madison Williams and Albany Williams; sisters, Linda Riboli, Nancy Turner and Linda Pope; and brothers, Jerry, Ricky, Bennie, Charles, Wayne, Larry, and Gary Hammonds.
