Howard Marcy Hiers, Jr.

Howard Marcy Hiers, Jr., 81, of Kannapolis, NC passed away Friday, November 24, 2023.

Mr. Hiers was born August 12, 1942 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Howard Marcy Hiers, Sr. and the late Sarah Elizabeth Hiers.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Delores Annette Bell Hiers.  

After graduating high school he joined the Air Force. Following his tour of service, he majored in business at Midwestern University and worked in sales and human resources.

He and his wife shared a passion for square dancing and travel. Among places they visited were  Europe and China.

Survivors include his daughter, Marcie Lee Pack of Kannapolis, NC; son, Robert Hiers and wife Cheryl of Aynor, SC; grandson, Jacob Hiers; grandson, Alec Pack; granddaughter, Cheryl McGee Lane; two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Hiers family.
