Herbert Eckenrhode

Herbert Edgar Eckenrhode, 91 of Concord, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House. The family will receive friends at Calvary Lutheran Church 950 Bradley Street Concord on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 1:30 until 2:30 PM. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM, with Pastor Debbie Frye and Rev. Dr. John E. Boyd, Jr. assisting. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Herbert was born on January 25, 1921 in Reading, PA to the late Herbert and Hattie Mae Moore Eckenrhode. He was also preceded in death by his wife Hazel Rogers Eckenrhode. He is survived by: sisters, Joann Burge and husband Bill of Virginia Beach and Gloria Bryant of Salisbury; nieces and nephews, Bobby, Susan, Carol, Laurie, Bill, Steven and Bobby; special friends, Ruth and Vincent Willis of Concord and their children, Shelby, Andrew, and Mary Lauren.
