Helen Frances Snyder Morrison

May 9, 1927 — September 28, 2023

Concord

Helen Frances (Snyder) Morrison, 96, of Concord, was called home to her Heavenly
Father on September 28, 2023. Mrs. Morrison was born at her home in Buffalo, NY to
Joseph and Mary (Ignasiak) Snyder on May 9, 1927.

She was preceded in passing by her Mom and Dad, her older sister, Mary (Young), and
her husband, Captain John W. Morrison (died Dec., 1997).

In addition to her only son, Michael Ford and daughter-in-law, Kim (Stroud), of Concord
and step-grandson, Hubie, she is survived by; her sister, Irene Duronio of Dallas, TX,
several nieces and nephews, numerous cousins in Michigan, and step-children, all of
whom she dearly loved. And of course, her beloved furry baby, Princess-Marissa.

Mom lived life on her terms, and after moving to Port Huron, Michigan in the mid-60's,
moved between West Seneca, NY, Concord, NC and Florida eventually settling back in
Concord. She lived on her own until she suffered a stroke in 2021, after which she
resided at Concord Place Senior Living until her passing.

I would like to thank John Dodson and her entire 'family' at Concord Place for going
above and beyond in caring for her, all of her care-providers, notably Alan Fitz of
Gentiva Hospice and her PCP Redella Hedrick, and for the ladies at St. James The
Greater Catholic Church for the cards, gifts and visits she received over the past couple
of years.

There are so many more who carried us through this time, especially the past month
which was very challenging. Sincerest thanks to all, and to the caring staff at Hartsell
Funeral Home of Concord for making her final arrangements.

A Celebration of Life and Funeral Mass will be scheduled for later this month, so please
do not send flowers to the funeral home.
