Helen Meggs

Helen June Lambert Meggs, 84 years of age, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2015.

Mrs. Meggs was born June 15, 1930 in Stanly County, NC to the late James William Lambert and the late Lillie Hatley Lambert. She was also preceded in death by her son Kelvin Meggs, and her brother Billy Ray Lambert.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord officiated by Rev. Jimmy Barrett and Rev. Mike Tillman. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Kemp McLene Meggs; her daughter, Karen Meggs; her sister Faye Efird; brother Reece Lambert; and granddaughters Chelsea and Kirsten.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
