Harley Geelen, Sr
July 2, 1939 — January 13, 2015
Mr. Harley Henry Geelen Sr., 75 years of age, of Concord, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Harley was born July 2, 1939 in Pennsylvania to the late John David Geelen and the late Blanche Alverta Geelen.
He was also preceded in death by son, Harley "Gil" Geelen, Jr.; two brothers and one sister; and grandson, Harley Henry Reynolds, III.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord and will be officiated by Rev. Jeremy Hyde. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery.
Harley served his country in US Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include wife, Dawn Marie Geelen of Concord; three sons, Michael (Tammy) Geelen of Locust; Frank Geelen of Harmony, and Clyde Geelen of Kannapolis; two brothers; two sisters; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; special granddaughter, Lacey Castro of Mt. Pleasant; special great-granddaughter, Sarah Moore of the home.
