Gregory Alan Furr

Gregory Alan Furr, 60, of Polkton, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Polkton.

Greg was born March 22, 1965, in Charlotte, North Carolina to Mary Wiley Rhodes and the late Lowery Dewitt Furr.

He was preceded in death by first wife, Maureen Furr; father, Lowery Dewitt Furr; stepfather, Ron Rhodes; and many beloved family and friends.

Survivors include wife, Sophia Wright Furr; mother, Mary Wiley Rhodes; sons, Dalton Furr and wife Jasmine, Cody Furr and wife Sarah, and Aaron Medlin and wife Melissa; father-in-law, Truett Wright; and Greg’s in-laws Paul and Patricia Simpson.

Greg is also survived by his loved grandchildren, Averi Medlin, Gianna Furr, Kinsley Medlin, Weston Medlin, Harper Penley, Wyatt Furr, and Hunter Furr.

Additional survivors include brother Jeff Furr and wife Allison; sister Desiree Freeman and husband David; nephews Blake Furr and family, and Drew Furr and family; and many other cherished friends and family.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday, October 27, 2025, at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland.
