Grace Story

Grace Irene Wensil Story, 95 years of age, of New London, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at her home in Davidson County.

Grace was born October 25, 1918 in Cabarrus County to the late Franklin Clay Wensil and the late Frances Virginia Walter Wensil. She was also preceded in death by husband, John Augustus Story; daughter, Mary Sue Story; and son, Johnny Wayne Story.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Gary Cox, will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, September 19, 2014 in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery, Dennis Road, Albemarle, NC.

She is survived by son, William Story of Asheville; daughter, Nancy Ludwig of New London; seven grandchildren, J.W., Darrell, and Joe Story, Irene Chandler, Lannie Eckman, Shonia Lee, and Susan Lovette; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregiver, Shirley Turner.
