Glenn Smith

Glenn Monroe Smith, 79 years of age, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at CMC - NorthEast in Concord. Glenn, a lifetime farmer, was born August 30, 1934 in Cabarrus County to the late Daniel M. Smith and Rebecca Pauline Smith. He was also preceded in death by sister, Jean S. Paige; and brother-in-law, Spence Harwood. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord officiated by Pastor Mike Burris. Burial will follow in the Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 24671 Millingport Road, Locust. Survivors include sister, Rachel S. Harwood and friend, Arnold Almond of Mount Pleasant; brother-in-law, Lester E. Paige of Mt Pleasant; nieces and nephews, Jeff Paige and wife, Sandra; Susan Suther & husband, Charlie; Steve Harwood and friend, Susan; Kathy Burris and husband, Mike; Danny Harwood and fiancee, Frances; and Melanie Melius and husband, Scott.
